It took a very, very long time for it to come to the fore but I wouldn't ascribe that to a failure of investigative journalism. I think there were other processes we need to look at.
I don't think investigative journalism is under threat
If by the end of next year all we have done is watch six weeks of sport on the telly, we will have missed a huge opportunity. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to tell the world about Britain. The global spotlight is going to be on London and the wider country.
