It was good for him to show a lot of character.
He's a special cricketer. There's a lot written and spoken about Jesse Ryder. All I know is he can bat. We need him to score some runs.
I feel pretty happy with the way I went. I got a few out of the middle and scored a few runs leading into the first test so I'm happy with where I'm at
It got to the stage where they did give most of their players (a bowl) to rest their quicks
I didn't have a clue _ the boys said later it was close to a world record or something. It's a bit disappointing to miss out actually.

The boys were saying I was close to a world record ... It was pretty disappointing not to actually break it. But I'm pretty happy with the way I went. I got a few out of the middle, scored a few runs leading into the first Test so I'm happy with where I'm at.
It would mean the world to our cricketing public and to us - it's one of our biggest rivalries.
