Last year, when we were 21-1 with Jerome, I said that he can just go off at anytime ... In the Michigan State game, we needed someone to go off. Since A.J. [Price] didn't, since Stanley [Robinson] didn't, we needed someone else to go off like Jerome who has the ability to do that, especially in big mome...
There was a feeling of accomplishment last year, as [the NCAA] West regional champions ... but also a little disappointment that maybe we didn't get the whole thing.
There were years where we got beat up and two years later we were beating up ... It takes awhile sometimes but teams in your league reaching the Final Four is motivation for other teams. A league this tough prepares you for the NCAA tournament and that is how everybody is judged, postseason play.
I really thought our team and Louisville were the best teams in our league last season ... I think in a three-game series both our team and Louisville would have beaten Michigan State.
