I don't know if he made that strong a comeback, he only won two out of five matches. I think a strong Presidents Cup would be Jim Furyk (winner of all five of his matches). I know (Tiger) won his singles match, but by then things were basically over.

James Michael Furyk (born May 12, 1970) is an American professional golfer, known for consistently playing at the top level and for a visibly unconventional, looping golf swing. Due to his ability to perform at such a high level despite that swing, his devoted fan base has given him the nickname "The Grinder". In September 2006 he reached a... Full Article

We have to put the ball in the air to play this golf course, so in the wind, we're going to have to be very careful and hitting very solid shots to control the ball when you put it up in the air in a strong wind
I'm not telling Jim Furyk when to play and what slot to be in.
I felt better about my game than what I've been playing this year, and I kind of want to thank my partners
Jim Furyk has done it all ... For Nick Watney to team up with Jim Furyk, they had no idea they were going to play together on Monday or Tuesday. Then to go out and beat Ernie Els and Adam Scott, when things weren't looking all that great this afternoon, was a huge point for us.
Knowing Phil for as many years as I have ... I'm guessing he asked to play with me, because I struggled so much this year and played poorly the worst of anyone sitting up here right now ... I assume that he asked to play with me because he felt like he could get a lot out of me this week, that maybe he...

I struggled so much this year and played poorly and probably — well, definitely — the worst of anybody that’s sitting here right now
As Freddie said, we were totally unprepared the last time we came here
Best I putted all year, for sure, and best in a long time
I said this years ago, and it's still true
Fred's a terrific leader by keeping things loose, Tiger leads in his own way. This group really meshed.
I have a feeling (Mickelson) probably asked to play with me because I felt like he could get a lot out of me ... He’s got a great leadership quality in these events. I struggled this year and he kind of took me under his wing and kind of boosted my confidence.
I had Phil for three days, and he was playing great, he had a positive attitude
He hits it long and straight. I'm gonna try and feed off of some of that
The momentum was shifting a little bit there towards the end
I remember at Brookline, one of the players on the other team making the comment that you know 'this is over' in the press room and that's actually the wrong attitude to have and maybe it's one of the reasons it bit them
I think we as a team have to realise tonight that we have to come out firing tomorrow and it's important for us to, each and every one of us of the 12 players, to go out there and work the hardest they can to get their point.
I felt like we went through about three different seasons today ... It was a tough day and a long day for those who played 36, and this morning was big for us to go 4-1 in five matches. And we hung on this afternoon, getting a point in those last two matches. We put ourselves in good position and have t...
We kinda ham-and-egged it pretty well today
We really became a lot better friends now that we’re golf professionals and we’ve been around each other a long time ... I’ve had a lot of fun with him at these events. And Amy (Mickelson) and Tabitha (Furyk) are good friends and the kids all get along well, so when we get opportunities, we spend a litt...
I hit a few more fairways than he does
Some guys like it (interacting), some don’t ... We tried it early on, and then tried it a little bit in practice rounds. Yesterday (Thursday) I realized that we see things a lot the same. Everyone has their own style, whether it’s flow or linear look, and we see things similarly. And it helps me out.
