That would never occur to the participants ... Perhaps to someone from the outside, someone from Utah or something, might not maybe jump on it because neither team is being talked about every day in the national scheme of things.
I can assure you ... that you will be proud of your young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially, in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
It's an exciting week ... Our guys can feel the excitement on the campus and in the community. It's the reason many of them chose to go to Ohio State or to go to Michigan was so they could be a part of this game for four or five years and it's just a little bit different feeling. It's a hard one to expl...
I haven't been (to the Rose Bowl) in 25 years ... I was an assistant coach in the 1985 Rose Bowl (when OSU played Southern California). So it's been a long time, and there's nothing like it. It's a great feeling.
You've got two backs that rushed for (200 total) against Iowa. That's extraordinary ... And they were breaking tackles and they were keeping their pads low, and they were doing a great job. Those are two tough kids, and the seniors mean a lot to those two.

It's an important thing to Ohio St...

They’re still going to be who they are ... That’s what, in our estimation, has made Iowa such a solid program, is that they know what they believe in, they know what they teach. Their young people do a good job of learning what they teach.
We talked more, quite honestly, about Iowa and about the fact that it is senior week for us, which is a big deal to us ... I don't recall even talking about what was beyond that. And I'm not sure it needed to be talked about because everyone seemed to know that already.
There was just a little breeze (in Ohio State's face) ... We wanted to be down about the 22, 23 (yard line).
November is for contenders, we always say that ... It’s hard to get too ecstatic right now because you know the Hawkeyes are coming to town.
There were some things we didn’t feature, for sure, because he wasn’t 100 percent ... But he wasn’t going to miss a Big Ten game here at Beaver Stadium.
I know that when I worked for (former head coach) Earle Bruce here at Ohio State, he used to always say that September was for pretenders and November is for contenders
Are we consistent enough right now to be the contending champions for the Big Ten? Not yet
No, it was all based on what we saw on film with New Mexico State, because Penn State is different than they are
I think in this day of cell phones and Twitters and Twotters, or whatever, everybody knows everybody and everybody talks to everybody, but I'm sure it was a good public relations move on all parts to support one another ... Those celebrities know when things don't go right, the celebrity status isn't mu...
We really have to focus in this week ... Sometimes when you leave your conference schedule, when that's really paramount in your mind, you can have the tendency to lose that focus a little bit. But if we'll keep taking steps and so forth we can see if we can compete for the Big Ten.
It has hurt us not having (Herron, and) we obviously weren't excited about the prospects of playing the second half or whatever without Brandon ... Jordan stepped up, which we think Jordan has done well since he's been here, and Jermil did a heck of a job. Right now if we had a game, it would be Jordan,...

I'm not sure that that's the case ... You hope it's not too quickly, because you'd better not forget what you need to get better at. And you hope it's not too long, because you better know what Minnesota brings. So, is there a danger? Yes.
