Jimmy Clausen is as good a quarterback as we're going to face this year
The best thing he did this summer was inviting those guys out to California to work out ... They developed a better relationship.
Pitt's defensive ends gave us a lot of pressure which forced Jimmy Clausen to step up ... He was under heat all game long. We called four screens. One was a short gain, one was for a loss, one got knocked down, and the other one was stopped. It didn't work for us because they were able to get their hand...
The best thing you know is, when you have a quarterback like Jimmy Clausen there isn't a game you go into that you weren't expecting to win ... Most people after the game were feeling sorry for themselves. He was mad at himself because he felt that he had lost the game. And that's what really good playe...
I think that Jimmy Clausen is as good as any quarterback around
We had to get Notre Dame to be 9-3 to have a chance ... But we’re going to be a little on edge because they play three good teams. They can lose those games, but the good news, with their offense and their quarterback [Jimmy Clausen], they can also win all three.
I think the consistency of the guys along the defensive line in the pass rush is probably the biggest surprise ... They've been very good. We went with four guys rushing (Notre Dame) quarterback Jimmy Clausen and that's something a lot of teams can't do.
You have to get rid of the little things that become big things, whether it's holding or a key block that's missed on a short yardage play ... But we're giving [quarterback Jimmy Clausen] time. We're able to get what we want, statistically, in the run game. So we're moving in the right direction.
