We have to keep things going in the right direction ... We're playing a dangerous (Leaf) team that beat Detroit last week and we have to be respectful.
The story of this season has been the play of Craig Anderson and Ilya Bryzgalov in goal in Colorado and Phoenix ... Not many people gave either of those teams a chance before this season, but look at them now. Goaltending has clearly been the key in both places.
When you have defensemen like Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and Brian Campbell, it's easy to play with a puck presence all over the ice ... That's always been a part of my coaching philosophy.
It's still early. It shows how close and competitive the Western Conference is ... Everybody has stretches where they run off four, five six wins in a row and it sets you in a good spot. They've been a team in the past that can win ten in a row, or seven in a row.
I still think one is dangerous without the one ... We'll try to be aware of (Henrik Sedin) when he's out there. I still don't know which one is which.
We want to get Jordan in ... It's Game 9 and we were looking to see him get in earlier than this but we didn't really want to change a winning lineup. He looked good in camp. I like the way he skates and we're happy to get him in the game.
We're asking a lot of questions about Huet, and he's been fine ... He could be a little bit better, but it's early in the year and he's lost only one game -- 3-2 in Detroit. ... It's not like he's terrible or playing bad; he's been OK. There's another level, but I don't think the alarm button should be ...
We weren't very good in front of him ... We should all be responsible, and all contributed to that tough start. [Calgary] came out hard, and we didn't respond. It was tough watching us play, and it was tough watching some of those goals go in. That was embarrassing, getting behind 5-1 before a full hous...
We've had the puck a lot in all the games ... Discounting maybe the first period against Florida (in the opener) and part of the second against Detroit, we've had the puck in the offensive zone a lot. We need a better net-front presence without the puck but we're putting a lot of pucks there.
Tommy's moved on ... But Detroit will be a great test. I'm sure they'll be sour after coming back from their trip, and they always play well at home.
Switzerland -- except for the ending [a 2-1 Hawks loss to the Zurich Lions in Tuesday's Victoria Cup match] -- was fine ... Since we got to Finland, the hospitality's been great, the hotel is beautiful and the rink is first-class. It's been all positive. Now we're really looking forward to getting on th...

I have heard more than once the track record of the coaches that went over last year ... But Pittsburgh, at the end of the day, were the champions.
In the West, there's a ton of teams that are better, the teams that played in the playoffs last year and the non-playoff teams are the teams that you've got to give a lot of respect to ... On the other side, Pittsburgh is an elite team. And in Philly, [Chris Pronger] is going to be making a big differen...

Tomorrow we'll go to Finland and get excited about being there and play the first NNHL game there and it's a great opportunity ... We had a great time here in Switzerland. We know it is going to be very competitive and, like tonight, teams are going to be ready for us.
We want to look to try to win our division ... If you can be ahead of Detroit, you've accomplished a lot.
We felt some of the guys, the way they played in the last game against Minnesota, earned the right to come on the trip and earned the right to get further evaluated because they want to show they can make the team ... We have a lot of depth up front, so we'll have to watch.
