John Herschel Glenn Jr. (born July 18, 1921, in Cambridge, Ohio) is a former astronaut who became the first American to orbit the Earth, and later, United States Senator. Glenn began his career as a Marine Corps fighter pilot before joining NASA's Mercury program, NASA's original astronaut group. He orbited the Earth aboard Friendship 7 in 1962. Full Article

I did ... Watching John Glenn play in the first game against Johnstown, I definitely did. I didn't say anything to our kids, but they're not stupid, either. They saw John Glenn play, and saw how strong they were. We knew we were going to have come up big against the other teams, and I think we did.

I thought we had some nice moments blocking, but they (John Glenn) have so many weapons, that it's tough to take them all away ... To beat them, you're going to have to play a perfect game. And they'll probably have to have an off game.
John Glenn has some dynamic hitters, but they also pass the ball fantastically ... Looking for weaknesses there, it's very tough to find any.
