I think this is gonna be a great campaign and probably a very close election
I think our appropriators decided for the most part to mark at the Budget Control Act levels ... But I don’t think that would preclude anybody here in the Senate, on the floor or somewhere else, from offering amendments to go below that. I’m guessing you’re going to see a lot of amendments to go down to...

It’s not like we’re holding it back
I think our leader would love to interact with him on how we might be able to structure a certain amount of judge votes and perhaps a jobs bill at the same time; I think [Reid has] basically said, 'Take it or leave it and go pound sand,' and that's not the way to run the Senate
That’s incredibly problematic for us. If we’re out there sort of in this uncertainty zone between now and the end of August and we have to turn around in a short time period, put together an organization and resource it, it’s incredibly problematic ... I just don’t see it.
There is a point at which we're going to have to conclude if we're going to win in the fall we have to get behind a nominee and start focusing on our real opponent
There’s no substitute for telling a good story
They’re definitely better. When we defeated cloture on the original Commerce title and Finance title, … I think it improved it. Now we have some provisions on there that are supported by both sides
