I tell folks it's no different than being in the building trades - you may know where you'll be painting in the next few weeks, but can you tell me where you'll be painting in May? There are plenty of people in this town who have made a good living in this for 25 or 30 years
I played just the opposite ... I hit it as hard as I could, fired at every flag stick, and that lends itself to having train wrecks in the majors. If I had to do it over again, I'd have two gas pedals - one of the majors, one for the regular tournaments. I never figured that out.
