But I’ve said if it gives the Rangers’ organization confidence in me and major league baseball confidence in me to have somebody then I’m all for putting them kind of at ease.

He was on the field for 160 games for the Detroit Tigers and they made the playoffs. Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers won the AL MVP award last year. Johnny is very talented and has helped me tremendously, both personally and professionally ... He is fulfilling a dream to be a Major League batting coach and I have told him previously I would never stand in his way from doing that. We will stay in touch and I wish him great success with the Brewers.
