Texas would like to get Buchholz — a Nederland, Texas native — for Jarrod Saltalamacchia or Gerald Laird. Boston would like to get Teagarden for Justin Masterson or Michael Bowden.

A lot of them want to come ... There are some guys, they're planning for this. Their vacation is going to be planned around there. This place is amazing. I've already talked to tons of guys. I talked to [Dustin] Pedroia, I talked to Mikey Lowell, [Josh] Beckett, [Justin] Masterson, [Jonathan] Papelbon. I invited everybody and pretty much everybody is going to come.
So my response is (based on Jere logic) Curvy number for the first number based on the shape). Seems to fill up most of it, so I'm guessing a 6. Looking over the left shoulder, so most likely a right handed pitcher Looks like he has one hell of a neck, so I'm going with Justin Masterson (#63)
What about a Jed Lowrie and Justin Masterson deal for Javier V and a prospect? I am sure Lowrie could convert to 2nd or 3rd and Masterson would be a decent pitcher to work with.
We tried the other night [Monday] to just use [Paul] Byrd. Fortunately, that's what we did do, because we followed it up with a game when we were into the bullpen in the third inning, and we got away with [using] everybody but [Hideki] Okajima and [Jonathan Papelbon]. We could still go to [Manny] Delcarmen and [Justin] Masterson, but we have a very fresh Oki and Pap that we can lean on.
Marmol and Wood combined for 198 strikeouts in 153 2/3 innings -- making them the only bullpen duo in baseball that averaged over 11 K's per nine innings apiece. Jonathan Papelbon-Justin Masterson isn't bad ... But it isn't that dominating.
When he made a mistake or two, they hit them a long way ... Adam Jones hit that ball all the way home and Millar did what he's been known to do from time to time. But then he made pitches and he was pretty good. You look up in the fifth and I think he had 51 pitches, and on a night when we needed to stay away from [Manny] Delcarmen and [Justin] Masterson, getting to where he got us was very helpful.
Pap, as effective as he was for us late in 2005, hadn't reached his ceiling yet. And Justin has some growing to do, even though we think he can help us out now ... Right now, we think (Masterson) profiles as someone who can really help our bullpen with perhaps a relatively brief adjustment period in the minors.
Because the team continued to win and Justin Masterson filled in and did really well, I didn't feel so much frustration being unable to play ... I could take time to heal up and get better.
We'll certainly have more information (Tuesday). The move to place Ortiz on the disabled list will occur Tuesday, Francona said, and Boston will recall right-hander Justin Masterson from Triple-A Pawtucket to fill Ortiz's spot on the roster. Masterson will start Tuesday night against Tampa Bay. The Red Sox were hopeful Ortiz would not be gone for long. I don't want to speculate ... All of us want to get a chance to talk to David and the doctors. We'll map this out to the best of their ability. I don't know more. I can't tell you more. ... We need to talk about some things.
Santana to the Red Sox is all but done. Jon Lester, a center fielder, Justin Masterson and Ryan Kalish are the package.
