Today is definitely more like Florida and less like California ... It can definitely be challenging and you have to change your approach to how you do maneuvers. I have some pretty good boards at the moment so that’s helping.

You can't really sit there and say that Kelly Slater is the world champion on one tour and Joel Parkinson on the other. I think the surfers want to surf against the best surfers all the time--and then you know you're the best.
