We've communicated to (Johjima) very clearly that Jeff Clement is here and we're going to get a good look at him and try not to let Kenji get rusty

If I play one of them at first base and DH the other, that means Kenji or Clement is sitting. Somebody's going to get the short end every day, there's no way around it. Riggleman said there still are no plans to play Johjima at first base, although he hinted that day might come. I can't say it will never happen, but not right now
Really, one bad pitch, the changeup to Olivo ... I don't like second guessing things, but I wish I wouldn't have thrown a changeup in that situation. But I said yes when he [catcher Kenji Johjima] called it. It cost us the game. It tends to catch up with you more times than not, if you're not 100 percent confident in throwing a pitch.
It was a good pitch and things like that are going to happen ... He had a great at-bat. He fouled off some pitches and put a good swing on it. The pitch was down and in, right where we wanted it. [Catcher Kenji Johjima] even said, 'Good pitch.' What are you going to do? If it's a one-run game, the ball wouldn't even be there. It would be away.
