Yes, right after my never-ending world tour with Yanni and Kenny G. is over.
I suspect it will take more than a presumptuous obituary to draw a death rattle from Kenny G’s horn. After all, the Yellowjackets have a CD coming out next week, and elevators and hotel lobbies everywhere have dead air to fill.
Over the weekend I was [in] Hangzhou, China on my way back to Shanghai after presenting a paper at an academic conference. In my hotel room I watched the Giants-Cowboys game live. This morning in the restaurant of the Hai Hua Hotel, they were playing nothing but Kenny G. Christmas music.
One year we were in Cincinnati, maybe in 2004, and the band went as Guns N’ Roses ... Obviously Guns N’ Roses does not have a saxophone player so I went as Kenny G.
That's likening my music to the Kenny G's of the world—just because it's mellow and adult-friendly doesn't mean it's like that. 'Once Again' was romantic and nostalgic. I feel like I'm having more fun on 'Evolver.'

You're like a Kenny G crowd! ... You're at 70 per cent. Time to take it up to 100 per cent.
I know Kenny G has no lyrics in his music, but I like making sounds with his songs when I am stressed. I’m all about great sounds.
I really like what you've done here. Let's do this, though. Set aside a track on your Pro Tools for a saxophone. We'll get a small live room set up with a really warm tube condenser mic, bring in Kenny G, and have him beat you to death with his sax in the live room.
The saxophone playing is as marvelous as any Kenny G. It is fresh and tastefully done. Gary Meggs and Nashville Records deserve a big thumbs up on this one.
Thought I'd give you guys a little update. Lisa and I have been back and forth from New Mexico enjoying the arrival of spring and new baby calves. This past weekend, we spent a fun time with friends in Reno for Lisa's birthday, where I took her jewellery shopping at Kenny G & Company and [we] were able to find her something really special and much deserved!
