I'm not saying that Kenya should consider negotiating with al Shabaab. I'm saying that all of us engaged in the effort to bring stability to Somalia should not shut the door to combatant elements who would want to put aside their weapons and talk politics
But with Ethiopia and Kenya coming to fight al Shabab, I don't think it's good for the interest of Somalis. They have their own agendas ... This is taking us back to where we were in 2007, when al Shabab enjoyed more support from the population.
