I am never going to be Kevin Pietersen, hitting it out of the ground every ball, but if people saw the innings I played for Essex towards the end of the season, there were some big shots there at the right time and that gives me confidence to know I can do it. I can score runs quickly

I’m getting better. The surgeon says the wound on my leg is about two weeks away from being completely healed over. Then I can get myself ready and right to play again, which hopefully will be in November in South Africa – fingers crossed
