I think the team looks like they're really on fire to do some good things out here in South Africa and to be really competitive ... I'm very encouraged to hear all the positive things that have been said to me by the players over what's happened in the past couple of weeks.
I am never going to be Kevin Pietersen, hitting it out of the ground every ball, but if people saw the innings I played for Essex towards the end of the season, there were some big shots there at the right time and that gives me confidence to know I can do it. I can score runs quickly
He has a coach he can work with ... I never had that. I didn't have the power or authority to run the team. I never had that as England captain.
The only batting fixtures in their side that I can see are Andrew Strauss, Alistair Cook and Kevin Pietersen
I'm getting better. The surgeon says the wound on my leg is about two weeks away from being completely healed over. Then I can get myself ready and right to play again, which hopefully will be in November in South Africa - fingers crossed
16 VIPs, including James Cracknell and Kevin Pietersen
I have admired a lot of (players)--Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen, Dwayne Bravo--but no--it is Chris Gayle who is my favourite--Chris Gayle
