What I’d really like to see is a Major Leaguer go to Cuba to play. Kevin Youkilis grows out his beard another five inches, jumps in a raft and paddles to Havana. He tears up the Cuban Leagues on a steady diet of fastballs and plantains. Full Article at Sports Blogs

View Photo »We didn’t play well out in Anaheim, which killed us. That pretty much put us where we are today ... There’s no excuses, other than the fact that that team was better than us. They beat us in this series because they played better ball.
People that write that stuff are the same ones that pick the Cubs to win the World Series
We don't believe in that stuff ... We don't believe in curses. We never felt there was a curse in Boston. It's just two teams going at it, and we've had some success against them and hopefully, we can do it again.
I hope I’m not ... That makes me sound like Johnny Pesky or something. . . . Hopefully they’ll be doing something like I did as a rookie in 2004 and win the World Series.
For guys like myself, we expect to win the World Series and go to the playoffs every year ... We’ve been spoiled. We don’t know any better.
