Ohio State will do a good job of changing our playbook. We haven't seen a lot of open plays on the tape ... We're still looking back somewhere in 1983 right now looking for some stuff. We'll find something somewhere.
For the Herald IOWA CITY — With the way the Iowa Hawkeyes have been turning “what ifs” into “what is” this season, it’s fitting that a BCS dream that looked almost dead in the water a week ago is still very much in the realm of reality. Full Article at Clinton Herald

Rick's more experienced now than he was 20 games ago, so things are a little bit different ... It will be the same for James. Ohio State will do a good job of changing our playbook, too. We haven't seen a lot of open plays on tape. We're looking back somewhere in 1983 for some stuff. We'll find somethin...
There's nobody in the state or the Midwest right now, unless we got somebody from the Chicago Bulls or the Bears maybe that could simulate his athleticism
That scared me a little bit ... But Chuck Long looked like that when he got here.
Hopefully, it's just a one-game deal ... We all know we're capable of playing better special teams. ... Hopefully, we got it all out (against Indiana) and we get back to normal operations.
Somebody Bradshaw said something ... Bradshaw is my guy. Pittsburgh Steelers. I love him. ... Bradshaw can say whatever he wants, he's my guy.
If you're in a competitive conference, which the Big Ten is, you better have that mindset, or you better have a great team ... There have been some teams that just steamroll their way through every game. That must be nice to be involved in one of those.
It's just soreness more than anything else ... He didn't have a concussion (against Michigan State), but he was sore. He practiced all week, but we didn't have him tackling anybody.
They (Iowa) refuse to think they're out of it until the end of the game and I just can't say enough about the way our guys, the effort they gave and the way the pulled this thing out.
That's a good question ... I was wondering that in the fourth quarter (against Michigan State). Thank God they didn't punt to us because we ran out of options there. We'll figure something out on Saturday, but that's a big concern.
At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter if we were underdogs or not. We're 8-0. We're happy about that, don't get me wrong ... But we're only halfway through the Big Ten schedule. We've still got a big month ahead of us.
We haven't even played half of the Big Ten schedule ... But we're off to a good start. We could win any of the rest of our games, but we could lose any of the rest of our games, too.
I can assure you of this ... If this season goes well, and we are off to a good start, I will have my feet up all Thanksgiving week. You are going to have a hard time finding me because I will enjoy it.
In the NFL, they say you can get a good back in the third, fourth round ... I think it's good for us because we don't get many first-round picks at Iowa.

I have no idea ... Right now, I hope we can contend at Michigan State.
We're just talking about Michigan State ... We're talking about so far, so good. We've played well.
Wisconsin was pretty much manhandling us in the first half ... They did whatever they wanted to do. In the end result, we're behind and things aren't looking too great. But like Penn State, we had some players make some big plays for us.
If you have a good system with good players, it presents a lot of challenges ... It's tough to defend, and that's what we're seeing with Michigan.
It's like every Michigan team that I can remember seeing on the field, it looks like they've got an awful lot of good players right now ... They're playing their schemes well right now, and this young freshman quarterback has done a fantastic job. He's got a presence out there and plays well beyond his ...
He knows some of the guys (on Michigan's roster), but it's been two years now for him ... A lot of the guys have graduated; a lot of the guys were really young when he was there, so it hasn't been huge from that standpoint. Systematically, there's really nothing they do that's the same. If he had come o...
They're playing good football ... We caught part of the Notre Dame game (a 38-34 Michigan win) coming back on the bus from Iowa State, and the quarterback sure got all of our attention.
We're hopeful to get Tony Moeaki back (next week against Michigan) ... I think we have a realistic chance for that.
The only cooler cat in crunch time than Les Miles is Kirk Ferentz. He doesn't even smile. #lsu
