I don't know what the hell players are supposed to do back here, so I just got treatment on it the whole game
Now, Kobe Bryant and Nike demonstrate an irresponsible, sophomoric attitude about guns. … I hope the league will let them know that this advertisement is both off message and badly timed. We need to drop the gun glorification in pro basketball, and that especially applies to million dollar ad campaigns.
If I’m not able to play I won’t play and If I am I will – it’s as easy as that ... If [Sunday’s] All-Star game were today I could not play in it. I’m just trying to push out inflammation and trying to minimise the pain and increase the range. It’s a process.
The Nike print ad featuring Kobe Bryant was intended to illustrate his all out play and NBA commissioner David Stern is sensitive to the issue of gun violence, and the NBA criticized the ad. We had no prior notice of this ad ... We think it is inappropriate.
People make too much of that. I'm not an idiot ... I'm not just going to run through a wall just to run through a wall. If it's an injury where I feel like I can play through it and have it heal while I'm playing, then I'll play. But if it's the type of injury where it's going to get worse while I'm pla...

I'll make a decision on Wednesday, the same thing, a game-time decision
I was sweating just like I was sweating back then ... You President Barack Obama with Lakers guard Derek Fisher, left, and guard Kobe Bryant, center, on Monday. (Jim Watson/AFP/Getty Images) It's a great day for them as young men. It's a great day for the organization. We'll see if we can get back here ...
If I can move, I'm good. If I can move and get to the basket, I'm good.
Some people probably go with the records ... The Lakers are a hell of a team. Nothing you can really do about it. If I get in, I get in. But I think (my) numbers are better. But my team hasn't won as many games. But we also don't have Kobe Bryant on my team either. Put Kobe Bryant on my team or LeBron J...

I can take my time and make sure it's healthy
God, you know what, Derek Fisher is older than we tought, Jordan Farmar is not a defensive presence, Kobe Bryant is going to be driving one of these wheelies to get up and down the floor here any second, what are we going to do in a situation where we’re playing against a really quick perimeter player, ...
I'm not an idiot. I'm not going to run through walls just to run through walls ... If it's an injury where I feel like I can play through it and have it healed while I play, then I'll play. If it's the type of injury where it'll get worse while I play, then I won't.
LeBron James is great, but Kobe Bryant is the greatest basketball player ever. Kobe is a four-time NBA champion, an MVP, 11-time All-Star. His credentials don't lie.
I couldn't push off it at all
It's kind of like strapping a backpack with 75 pounds of rocks on Kobe Bryant of the L.A. Lakers, and then asking him to do lay-ups in a big game. It isn't going to happen
He put it all together tonight ... We’ve seen glimpses of that this season. Hopefully he can keep it on.
I always wanted to come back because we won the championship ... I'm playing for the biggest brand in the world. And I'm playing with the most fluid, talented center in the world in Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum's coming back, and of course Kobe Bryant.
That's something that we've talked about is them being able to step up and perform, and don't put any pressure on me to come back early
a great, disciplined team, they execute well, they have the best player in the NBA [ Kobe Bryant] and they're big ... So in order for us to win we've got to play hard. That means we've got to rebound, get loose balls and be aggressive on the defensive end.
I can't move my ankle ... It's frustrating. If the All-Star game was today I wouldn't play. If I can move and get to the basket I'll play. We'll make a decision Wednesday.
