View Photo »It wasn't the playoffs ... but it was a good measuring stick for us to see how we match up against them and how we play against them. Defensively we were extremely solid. But it will be a while before we get to the post-season and hopefully have a chance to play them again.
You’ve got a rookie point guard in (Darius) Morris who’s playing because Steve Blake is injured. (Pau) Gasol is playing a different role this year and is trying to find his niche in the offense and a head coach (Mike Brown) and a superstar (Kobe Bryant) who have only known each other for about a month, ...
It was well deserved ... Well deserved. He did a lot of great things here. And playing against him was like practice. Just like practice. We're all familiar with each other.
You can say what you want ... You're deferring to Kobe Bryant.
That's the area that really killed us
Kobe Bryant scored a season high of 48 points. Then his ex-wife claimed that 24 of those points are rightfully hers.
We talked about how they focused on the glass and they just did a terrific job on the boards
rose to the top before the end of his second pro season. It took Tiger Woods three years, LeBron James eight years and Kobe Bryant 11 years.
The game just gets easier with Chris Paul
What I’ve heard is (Kobe Bryant) and Dwight Howard at one point were texting back and fourth about how much they would love to play together, and how exciting that would be. And then it came back around to Kobe that Dwight was having questions about just how much Kobe has left in the tank.
The joy....The joy of the game
It always goes up when you get a blockbuster superstar, especially in a big market like Los Angeles. They have arguably the best player in baseball. I’m not saying it’s the same as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant, but it gives them drawing power.
We just have to get better physically and mentally
Kobe Bryant might be good, but not that good
Shannon Burns has a great jump shot ... I call her Kobe Bryant. She's awesome.
It’s just getting used to it
The Lakers have potential to be this year's Philadelphia Eagles more than anybody right now ... Two of their guys (Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher) are getting long in the tooth. Kobe has been injured more often than not. With a shorter season, you don't know if it will help or hurt them. If a significant ...
Dwight is a good friend of mine
Some of them need some education, which is typical in women's sports ... I'll ask any girl athlete who their favorite player is, and it's always Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant. It's never a woman athlete. Our game is still kind of young for that.
That game we needed to win ... We kind of broke away towards the end there, but it was a tough one for us.
You got people camping out in the street and then you got these players and owners arguing over billions of dollars, you got Kobe Bryant buying his wife some million-dollar ring ... It’s just hard to get on those people’s side.
When I met with my doctors, who were the same guys that worked on Kobe Bryant, they said this would get me back to 100 percent ... I told them I still have championships to win and grandkids to chase around and I have to be back in the seat for testing and for Pomona in February. All I need to be able t...
I'm still kind of shocked that Kobe Bryant hasn't run into the negotiations with a straight-razor and forced a resolution. This is beyond ridiculous.
You know how high school people are ... They’re happy to know you when you’re riding high, but they’ll stab you in the back if things go south. Everyone is going to want to see jobless Kobe Bryant so they can feel better about themselves and gossip about how I peaked too early in my life. Well, I’m not ...
