It's a tie for me in this category between Kyle Busch failing to make the Chase and Carl Edwards’ goose egg in the win column. Kyle had the wins while Carl made the Chase, but neither reached the level of success attained a year before. They would be the first, and second, to agree.

When I saw him [Kyle Busch] peel off with a couple laps to go, I knew what we had for fuel mileage ... We were playing cat and mouse on he re-starts. It’s bittersweet for me to knock him off his three-peat. But right now, Penske Racing is on it. We’re on our game.
You have to idolize the guy. Who can win four straight titles in this type of era? Not even Jeff Gordon could do it. It's a big deal. Those guys have really got it together and, one of these days, whoever beats them, I can't imagine if they can go five straight.
Kyle’s talent brought a lot to this race team, but I think this race team [had] a lot to do with Kyle Busch winning 12 points races and one non-points race with the 150 at Daytona
I feel like any championship in NASCAR is something to be proud of
When the green flag waves for the No. 18 Doublemint Toyota Camry at Darlington and Bristol, it will bring together three of America's most recognizable brands - Doublemint gum, Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing
We ran out of gas. Yeah, it could be a great time to butter up the team and say they did a great job. You all want a vanilla interview? Fine. I can put my Jimmie Johnson hat on and give you an interview
The line-up for Kyle Busch's No. 18 Toyota Camry rivals that of any team in NASCAR and we are excited to see the signature Doublemint logo on the track.

It's kind of a good and bad thing to miss the Chase ... It's given me extra focus to run for a championship on that side. For me it's going to be my first NASCAR championship, period, and I look forward to winning.
I owe everything to Aric Almirola [Saturday] ... From that last pit stop to the end, I told him that, if he just stayed with me, they wouldn't be able to beat the 15 [Almirola] and the 51 [Busch]. Awesome job to Aric. He can take half of my pay after [Saturday].
