Perhaps the optimism was a bit premature. Perhaps we should have expected the Wizards to come out hobbling, since it seems Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison do their darndest never to be seen at the same place at the same time. Full Article at South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Three reasons why the Knicks decided not to pursue Allen Iverson: 1. He’d take minutes and shots away from the young players (i.e. Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Toney Douglas) they’re hoping to develop for the future. 2. Full Article at NorthJersey.com

What could be worse than spending 40 years in the NBA wilderness with Isiah Thomas, Larry Brown and Stephon Marbury?
Once the season was over and I knew that Detroit wasn’t going to re-sign (Wallace), I just was hopeful that he would be able to come here or San Antonio and have a chance to win a championship because he deserves it ... They did a great job of getting him here and I don’t think they’ll be disappointed a...
Larry Brown [who coached Wallace in Detroit] said he was one of the smartest players he's ever coached, one of the best teammates and that his teammates loved him. His IQ - you don't believe it until you coach him. He talks [on the court], and that makes our defense even better.
I think the fact that we need to score more, he'll be more involved, I think, with this group than maybe he had to be in New Orleans
Larry Brown, he says I should get every rebound that comes off the rim
We've got to get Tyson Chandler and Boris Diaw on the court, then things will get better ... We have to get one of our big guys to step up and give us honest minutes.
Cory hangs around all summer with the NBA players in Charlotte ... He works with them. He's on the court. He's in the weight room. He's watching, observing, just hanging around people like Larry Brown and Michael Jordan. He absorbs a lot and he takes it in the right way.
I had Raja Bell and he couldn't hit the floor three out of five times when I was coaching
With all the money the NBA is collecting by fining coaches for whining about the replacement refs (Larry Brown: $60,000), the league can afford to bring back the real refs.
We missed out on (Drew) Gooden and Hakim Warrick and people like that ... But we didn't have Raymond's situation settled. A lot of teams have had to be real careful because of the luxury tax. There were some guys I think who wanted to come here. Antonio McDyess was another name that would have really, r...
I think being with Larry Brown last year in Charlotte and playing behind Steve Nash for the first part of my rookie season (helped me) ... I learned a lot from those guys - hopefully enough to bring out here and incorporate my speed and quickness with that and hopefully be a match for this team.

I feel bad because when I got the job and I looked at the film and I spoke to (Bobcats executive and part-owner) Michael (Jordan), we thought Sean was as good as any player we had
