View Photo »We look forward to this game, and it’s going to be a great setting ... It’s historically a great bowl game and played New Year’s Day. It’s exactly how we would want to end our season. The matchup with the Big Ten and Joe Paterno and a quality Nittany Lion team will be everything that we want.
I've invited more players from LSU and Southern Cal than any other two schools ... Certainly the pipeline for LSU to the NFL began with the outstanding recruiting by Nick Saban (2000-04) and has continued with the outstanding recruiting by Les Miles (2005-).
Certainly everybody in college football is familiar with Joe Paterno's Penn State Nittany Lions
I know our players wanted to play in the best bowl, against a quality opponent in the greatest bowl destination and Orlando was the pick ... Anytime the Big Ten and the SEC get together it is an exciting game. We are looking very forward to getting to Orlando and preparing.
Our football team could well have had a 10th victory tonight and the opportunity to be one of the elite teams in this conference ... That is really what we want to be. You look back and you say, this injury, that injury and so forth and wonder how different this season could have been. This team has ove...
I remember this young coach when he interviewed for a job at Oklahoma State ... He had a great attention to detail, had a great presentation and just understood exactly how to do the job. I always interview four or five guys and he was just a standout.
I have got to turn my attention to Arkansas. They’re a very talented football team ... I do not have the luxury to review the call and review the situations yet again. I feel like the adjustments have been made. Certainly I understand the mistakes that were made, and we’ll be better, but I have 24 senio...
The video that I looked at was simultaneously arrived with the ball and the catch, so the view that I have is that the Mississippi player comes up with the ball, and I’m telling him he’s down.
He got into a position for whatever reason where he let the clock expire ... We called timeout at times to save it, and at other times, he backed up and it just happened. You need to save a timeout. Jordan still needs to help us some there.
I feel like the issues with the offense at this point are there's some guys that are nicked, and we're trying to get the right guys in for the calls that are being made and use our personnel optimally ... And it's very difficult. It takes some work, and Jordan still needs to help us some there.
I recruited him at Oklahoma State
I saw the hit and I turned it in (to the Southeastern Conference) with the idea that it was helmet-to-helmet. We felt that it was a call that needed review. Those things happen.
Michael Ford is simulating McCluster, and I think it’s been fun for him certainly ... I think our defense is responding to what has been simulated in practice. I think they are looking forward to the challenge.
I’ve enjoyed our preparation and the focus of the players this week ... The guys are returning to health and it’s nice to see that. (Richard) Dickson had a smile on his face, and (Jordan) Jefferson practiced the entire practice as well as T-Bob (Hebert) and the others. With health coming back, there was...
In terms of injuries, Jordan Jefferson returns to practice today ... We're excited to get him back and throwing and moving around.
I think the style of athlete that Louisiana Tech employed was not as talented, but certainly gave a view of the style of running that can be used by Ole Miss
I think Louisiana Tech played a very strong game
This Louisiana Tech team's record is not as good as they would like, but I can tell you that they play better and better
Well, I'm certain Jarrett will get more snaps early this week ... I would be pretty confident that on Wednesday, that rotation will change, and Jordan will get the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday preparation. I think both quarterbacks will be improved by that and given the opportunity to prepare for our ...
The only thing I can tell you is that Charles Scott has a clavicle (injury), and I don't know exactly what length of time that will take to rehabilitate ... I can tell you that I would not expect him back for the regular season, and I'm probably just being hopeful that he'll be available for the bowl ga...
It appears that Jordan is going to be fine
It appears that Jordan Jefferson will be fine ... We expect him to be with us this week. There are some bumps and bruises, but nothing that appears to be really long-reaching. We expect Richard Dickson to return to practice some time this week. With exception and certainly the healing process to take pl...
