I really couldn't see that [she was having trouble with the heat] because actually she [was] running fast on the court
Actually playing Li has lifted my profile ... I went to a Chinese restaurant the other night and everyone in there said `Hey, you beat Li Na'. So at least someone is recognising me now.
I was feeling at the end of the first set really the heat on the court
I didn't play good tennis in the last half year
Life has changed a lot. I knew after the French Open when I went back to China the fans would be crazy ... I came back home and a lady (on the street) said, 'Li Na, I know who you are, I need a photograph with you, an autograph.' She spoke so loud and everyone heard it. More people were coming so me and...
I could not even breath on the court, especially in the second set
You can choose which tournaments you play and which coach you work with -- I think it has been very good for her (Li Na).
It is not easy to play in so heated air
It's not easy ... I'm not used to it. I came down from Sydney, but there it was only like 20 degrees. It was really tough today.
I think she's playing very well ... She's very good on the legs, she's moving, playing really fast. I mean, she can go really far in this tournament.
I've won six matches in a row, but in the second half of last year, I could not win three in a row ... I lost all confidence on the court, I wasn't hungry any more. But now I feel hungry again. I'm tough, I'm back.
I believe both Zheng Jie and Peng Shuai can break into the top 10 because I've trained with them both in the national team
I won six matches in a row
I'm feeling more tough, not like the last half of last year when I was losing all those matches, it didn't matter who the opponent was ... But I'm happy with what I am doing right now.
Tennis is such a tough sport, we're traveling all over the world
I hope I can go one better this year
A lot has changed in my life ... Right now it doesn't matter where I play in a tournament, so many fans know who I am, not like before.
Thomas, he was very different to Chinese coaches
