It's frustrating because I'd like to have some of those guys in the lineup just to get them going for the season ... But most of these injuries are groins and hips. I look at St. Louis and they have a kid (Erik Johnson) who just tore his ACL (and MCL). None of these injuries are like that. I'm not worried now. I know these guys are professionals. If we were in the playoffs, they'd be in the lineup. But we'll be patient with them and make sure that once we start the season, these things don't recur.

But they just want to know what happened. I just told them I don't know ... I didn't accept anything.
His take on the situation is not just O.J., but the kids that get wrapped up in situations like this, they're kind of the victim because on the large part they're kids that grew up with nothing ... People like in O.J.'s situation, they're on the doorstep of having everything. They have people dangling the carrot in front of their face, and no matter how decent of a person you are you'd be hard-pressed to not at least take a long look at that.
Once an individual is involved in a violation, or if the institution had some kind of notice that this individual hasn't been completely within the rules or regulations, the [NCAA] committee on infractions will ask the institution, 'What safeguards did you take to prevent this from happening a second time?'
