The defensive line combined for all but three of the team’s 33 sacks, with defensive end Julius Peppers racking up a team-high 11 for his third double-digit sack campaign in four years. But the Bears finished 2011 tied for 19th in that statistic, which...

Hopefully, we'll have some guys on our staff get an opportunity to move up, whether that be assistant coaches moving into coordinator's roles ... Or I'd like to see someday where some guys on our staff will get an opportunity to become head coaches in the NFL.
Before his injury Cutler was a middle of the pack fantasy performer with 14 total TDs and 10 total turnovers. Cutler was definitely not someone who would be considered worth starting regularly on a fantasy team. So, exit Mike Martz to retirement (he...
There is an NFC North team that fits every aspect of that description, and the minimal chances of a deal highlights how difficult it will be for Moss to get a job for 2012, as he said Monday he wants to do. And that assumes Moss, now 35, can still play...
Before you click away from this post, hear me out. It’s not as crazy as it seems. Moss requires structure and a strong locker room to keep him in check. With Lovie Smith in charge and veterans like Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Julius Peppers and...

The Bears were a respectable 14th in points and 17th in yards allowed, and they were stout against the run, finishing fifth in yards and 10th in average gain allowed. But only four teams permitted more passing yards than the Bears, and only three had...

We have an excellent tight end
The Broncos have a good football team to hold us down offensively like that ... Normally, the quarterback dictates a lot who wins the game. (Tim Tebow) definitely played a big part in that today.
This is one we had circled ... We felt like we needed to win out. Of course, not being able to do that, we just have to get ready for next week. But this one hurts.
We did some things we normally don't do there to keep them in the game ... And we gave them an opportunity.
You have to know the situation ... You have to be able to keep the ball in bounds on that one.
normally we're going to win the football game.
With a 10-point lead late like that
The Broncos have a good football team to hold us down offensively like that ... Normally, the quarterback dictates a lot who wins the game. (Tim Tebow) definitely played a big part in that today.
All losses are tough ... But this one was especially tough. We did some things that we normally don't do that kept them in the game. Even going into overtime, we had our chances.
He's been a great player in the league, but I won't speculate on anything else besides that
He’s not too high or too low
A possibility? ... Yeah. It's a possibility. … Until someone tells me that he's not, we're going along like he will be able to come back. And nothing was said otherwise. Surgery went well.
I'm going to stand by my comments that I made ... Until someone tells me he's not, we're going along like he will be able to come back. And nothing was said otherwise.
He'll play better this coming week than he did the last
I really like that, that we control our destiny
At times, we did do some good things offensively ... Caleb, that's normally how you would expect a guy to start off when he hasn't had a lot of time. But once he got going, especially in the second half, he made a lot of plays, and you could see him getting more and more comfortable in the pocket leadin...
I don't think you can ask anything more than that
That's normally how you would expect a guy to start off when he hasn't had a lot of time, but once he got going, especially in the second half, he made a lot of plays ... You could see him getting more and more comfortable in the pocket and leading our offence.
The way we've won games this year has been taking care of the football and winning the turnover ratio ... That really hurt us (Sunday).
He's a weapon we need to use ... We brought him here to fill that type of role for us, and it did seem like he was feeling it (Sunday). He was productive in our running game.
It didn't work, so of course you're going to get criticized when something doesn't work ... But next time it will. First time it didn't; next time maybe it will.
We still did some good things, still running the football and then at times being productive in our passing game
Those things happen ... It didn't work so of course you're going to get criticized when something doesn't work. Next time it will.
In hindsight do you mean? ... No. I think our game plan was good enough to win the game. I think we eliminated a couple of turnovers. We all know that swing there at the end of the half. You take that away and it's a different ballgame. We don't give up the long screen pass and it's a different ballgame...
