Flooding and landslides triggered by heavy rain pounding southern Brazil for nearly two months have killed at least 84 people and forced more than 54,000 to flee. Lula da Silva annouced that the government will give an aid of 1,8 billions reals (785 million dollars) to the victims of the floods.
