View Photo »We need our best players and Cristiano is one of them but we didn't lose because he wasn't playing ... We lost because we made defensive mistakes and got punished by an experienced Milan team.
Until they tied the score ... we played a good game. We were in control. Then we got disorganized, and Milan took advantage.
Every defeat is worrying. Both teams (Sevilla and Milan) are more settled than we are and they've played together for a lot longer. I don't consider it something normal, it's worrying and we have to continue improving.
We have two objectives: to qualify for the next round of the Champions League, and we will try to recover the points in the return game against Milan; and in the league, where we are on the right path but know that we have to work harder.

I know I will be taking a risk if I leave Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaka on the bench, but their talent doesn't detract from all the other players
It has been too long since Madrid had a proper run in the Champions League ... For Madrid to win the cup for a 10th time and at our own stadium is a great challenge, and we are all optimistic.

Every team tries to play its best game against Real Madrid. We will face tough opponents and we’ll have to lose at some point, but I’m not scared of that
I don't think the team relaxed, the two goals came from dead-ball situations that have made things more difficult for us. I'm not worried about set-pieces, but it could be something that we need to work on. I'm very happy with how serious the team were, even at 3-2 up we were still looking to go forward...
