For now I am more suited to playing at right back ... I would like a stint of 15 or 20 games consecutively at right back and show Mark Hughes and Fabio Capello what I can do. I don't want to say to the manager, 'I must play right back,' but I would like to go back to playing in that position because I think I have produced my best most consistently in that role. 
There appears to be an interest [in Santa Cruz from City], but there is no confirmed bid from them ... It would be reasonable to say we expect to hear from them. Mark Hughes brought him to this club and if he’s struggling for a striker, he’ll be interested. But it would only be at the right price for Blackburn Rovers if we decide we want to sell him. It’s in their hands to make the first approach.
There is a lot of pressure on Mark Hughes and hopefully we can compound that situation with a good performance
When Mark Hughes gets the quality in, he will win matches. I think he has only bought one player [Jô]. But he potentially has a few hundred million to spend, so I can be confident and say that they will not be in the bottom half [at the end of the season].
With all the money that has come into the club and with the manager that they have now, it will depend on the players that they bring in and how Mark Hughes manages to make them play. Hughes is a very good manager with good credentials from Blackburn and managing the Wales national team, so I think he will manage to glue them, and make them play and they will do very well.
