Mark Streit (born December 11, 1977 in Englisberg, Switzerland) is a Swiss professional ice hockey player, and captain of Swiss national ice hockey team. He plays defence for the Montreal Canadiens, and until recently was the only skater in the NHL from Switzerland. The other three are goalies, Martin Gerber, David Aebischer, and Jonas Hiller. On March 16th 2006, the three Swiss players (Gerber, Aebischer and Streit) were playing on the same ice for the first time ever, as the Carolina Hurricanes visited the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.
