Marlon Byrd in CF? Heck, Juan Rivera would be better there. I would take Reed Johnson. Though, I might not be a fair judge, due to the fact that I am a Cubs' fan.

That was a very resilient offense we’ve had this year ... Everybody played a part in it. Our 1-2-3-4 hitters have been doing it all year. And once Marlon Byrd got on track and we got Hank Blalock back and got Chris going, it became a very fluid offense. All we have to do next year is clean up the deficiencies in our pitching staff.
It's a matter of making good pitches and doing things by design ... If he goes up out of the strike zone to (Marlon) Byrd, he probably strikes him out. But he didn't do that. He left it where he could hit it. I think Rodney's combination most of the time needs to be fastball up and changeup down. He has to be able to bounce one intentionally and to put one up out of the strike zone intentionally. I'm not sure he can do that right now.
Hamilton and Marlon Byrd are strong, but in the daytime the ball moves pretty well here ... Hamilton got the ball high, and I think the wind helped it a little bit. The one Marlon Byrd hit wouldn't have gone out in a night game, but that's the elements. It's not here nor there.
When I got that hit to left field, that guy started saying all kinds of stuff. 'Why didn't I make it to second? ... Hey, I hit the ball hard. People who know baseball know the guy (Rangers left fielder Marlon Byrd) made a nice play. I had no chance to make it to second. I can deal with that.
I don't like it ... I haven't been sleeping much at nights. I know we're a better team than this.
They're battling the Mets, and it looks like fun ... I'd like to be a part of something like that. A lot of guys in here would like to be a part of it.
No, not all the time, and that's really bothering me ... I believe our intensity could be a lot stronger. It might be because we're out of it and it's the end of the season. Guys are eager to go home. I'd like to see the intensity we had for the first six months of the season.
You go out there and see Michael Young playing with a broken finger, and I'm going to go out there too
I said, 'Bill, how about you check that,' ... He said, 'Marlon, not another word.' I said, 'Bill, how about you check it?' Then he threw me out. All I asked is for him to check it.
