We have to find ways to win games and it's so important for guys to do the job they were asked to do and we got that tonight ... Marty [Turco] made some big saves for us tonight, the power play got it done and it was the difference maker. I give our guys a lot of credit and we are going to build on this.
It gave Marty a chance to sit back and breathe. ... Now, they don't have that. It's a different dynamic for the team and a different dynamic for Turco.
He was out playing the puck a lot tonight, making some pretty good plays, and we were just on the fortunate end of the miscue ... I was on the good end of a nice bounce, and I was fortunate to put it in.
We have no regrets. Marty played a heck of a game ... He made some big saves at critical times. It was disappointing to come out of here without a point. On the bright side we played a heck of a game against a very elite team.
It was a hard-fought game. Our goaltender played very well but in the end we made a mistake that cost us ... There's an old saying that you learn from adversity and we are sure getting our fair share of it, that's for sure.
I shouldn't be going high over the middle ... To make matters worse, I knocked it into the net. I don't know what I was thinking.
The kind of player he is, part of his game is being a strong defender ... Let’s hope [it helps].
