The voters made the right decision ... In one regard, it is a bit of a shame that Matt Kemp had to win the triple crown to the win the award because he did come so close. But in the end, Braun was my pick, and I think he’s the best pure hitter in baseball.
The MVP need not come from a division winner or other playoff qualifier.
I wanted to win that award for him ... But I’ve got eight more years in L.A. to try and win it.
We play against each other a lot during the season and in spring training
He is somebody who is one of my favorite players, and he has been good ever since he got on the scene. He has been an All-Star. I admire his game, and he is a great player. He deserves every bit of this award. I am definitely happy to know him as a person and for him to win it.
I'm going to go 50-50 next year
But it is what it is, and that is just how it is. For me, like I said, if [Braun] wins, he is very deserving. If I win, that's even better. … We will see if we can change that and see if we can make something happen.
I could've sworn the MVP is Most Valuable Player, not Most Valuable Player on a winning team
The award would mean a lot ... I worked hard in the offseason to try to get better, to stay on the field every game and have the chance to be one of the best players.
At the beginning I didn't even think I was going to be a professional baseball player ... My mom and dad made me stick with it. I was drafted, and now it's overwhelming. It's a joy to be known as a Dodger.
Another eight years in L.A. That sounds good. I love this city and the fans
I definitely want to spend the rest of my career here
A lot of people tried to put pressure on me this past year and I just rode with it ... Now it’s something that I love, the pressure.
Like I said I’m here for eight years
Another eight years in LA, that’s great ... I love this city. The fans embraced me well. Just to be a part of this city and what it stands for is an awesome feeling.
Another eight years in L.A., that sounds great
I'm very humbled to be here with this opportunity
This past year was a great year for me personally and definitely set the bar, but I have to have even better numbers next year
This is very special for me ... It's a joy to be known as a Dodger.
I love this city, the fans and just to be a part of this as a Dodgers player ... eight more years, I definitely want to spend the rest of my career here ... Like Derek Jeter with the Yankees, I would like to spend the rest of my career here and be part of a dynasty and see this thing grow. I know we hav...
