View Photo »I see driving with McLaren with Lewis as a big challenge ... As team-mates I think we'll be very strong together and will be a great team together, but ultimately we'll be racing against each other and trying to win, as will every other driver on the grid.
Jenson will not be doing anything at all for McLaren until the end of this calendar year ... And if he does, we will be looking on it very dimly.
History would say Ferrari and McLaren would build a very competitive car but last season Brawn came out with a stunner, a car that was beyond belief for a lot of teams so you never really know
The option in Formula One was to be at McLaren or nothing. Kimi and McLaren were unable to come to an agreement, so he will not drive in Formula One, at least not in 2010. I didn't know about NASCAR until (ex-McLaren driver) Juan Pablo Montoya made his move
I was fortunate in that I walked into a very good side – we had Dave McPherson, Gary Mackay, Alan McLaren, John Robertson, Craig Levein, Derek Ferguson, Scott Crabbe, Tosh McKinlay
The McLaren car will be one of the best, if not the best, on the grid next season
I've followed the McLaren team ever since I was a small boy, and it feels unbelievable to finally be a part of it
McLaren pairing Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton looks sure to spark the strongest interest from the British public in F1 for many years, but we think Jenson might find it hard competing against Hamilton.
It's fantastic that we'll be forming an all-British line-up ... I know that we both fly the flag with pride and I sincerely hope we can make the whole of the United Kingdom, as well as Vodafone McLaren Mercedes fans across the world, proud.
We played long stretches without Tina and long stretches without Tiffany Hayes ... It is ironic how it played out. We were able to function pretty well, even after Kaili [McLaren] got her fouls. ... We learned how to handle this if it should happen again.
The choices in Formula One for the next season were McLaren or nothing. Kimi and McLaren could not reach an agreement so he will not drive on Formula One level for at least next season

I think it's a mistake. If I had been Jenson, I would have wanted to do a deal with Brawn ... There's a totally different culture in McLaren - something that he might not have experienced before. They have a very clinical culture, which doesn't have the emotion or drive in the same passionate way than B...
It will be difficult for him to take on Lewis Hamilton ... It’s like walking into the lion’s den, because Lewis has had three years with McLaren now. He has it his way.
It’s fantastic news that Jenson has decided to join Vodafone McLaren
It’s always a difficult decision to leave a team when you’ve been there for so long ... But life is all about challenges -- and, most of all, it’s about challenging myself. Although I won the world championship with Brawn GP last year, I was always adament that I wanted to continue to set myself fresh c...
Kimi wanted a winning car, only McLaren could supply that and he only had them in his sights ... It wasn't in his interests to race for what they were offering so he's going to go rallying instead.
The alternatives at the Formula One level were McLaren or nothing. Kimi and McLaren could not agree and that is why he will not drive in the Formula One - at least next year.

Although I won the world championship with Brawn GP last year, and I'll never forget that, I was always adamant that I wanted to continue to set myself fresh challenges ... So that's why I've decided to join McLaren Mercedes. You can't help but be affected by this team's phenomenal history.
We had many meetings with McLaren but we couldn't find common ground on certain issues, and that is the reason he will not be racing in Formula One next year
