I thought it was a real good team defensive effort ... Between Asya (Williams) and Allie, I thought they did a really great job on (Dobbs), because she's a big-time player. And Jaleesa Kindred came in and gave us another physical inside defender.
Yeah, we were a little sloppy at times, but I thought we executed things really well today ... We had a few lobs. We hit some 3s. Erica (Burgess) hit a big 3 down in the corner in the second quarter. Kara hit a nice one.
Kelcie and Allie were pretty good today, but we expect that out of our two veterans
I thought Kelcie was really solid tonight ... She did a lot of things really well, especially offensively.
Kara really kept us going in the first half — that was a big 3 at the end of the half — not only scoring-wise, but she also had a lot of assists on a lot of really nice passes ... And we're going to need that kind of leadership from her.
Their big kid (6-foot-1 Stephenee Yancy), when you're as tall as she is and has as long of arms as she does, she creates a lot of issues inside. But Jaleesa (Kindred) and Allie (Miceli) did a pretty good job defending her (Yancy finished with 11 points).
