What do you plan to do to help heal the wounds from the rude and insulting comments that Mike Huckabee made about Gov. Romney being a Mormon and Mormons in general? Especially since Mormons in large part make up a huge chunk of the Conservative base. Can Mormons trust the Republican party ever again? 
I believe Mike Huckabee would have been the one to have lead us down the path of prosperity in our country and that unfortunately didn't happen... and I think Hillary [Clinton] would have been better.
Its marketing ... If you think about McCain in the (Missouri) primaries, McCain lost to (Mitt) Romney and (Mike) Huckabee. He was roundly defeated by Huckabee in southwest Missouri and the rest of outer Missouri because he was perceived as being not conservative enough, especially among evangelicals. This is the buckle of the Bible Belt.
Of course, next year is a presidential election. Although the primaries appear up for grabs now with Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee making a good run, I believe that the Democrats and the Republicans will nominate front-runners Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani. After a hard fought battle, Hillary will pull through as the electorate seems ready for a new party to govern from the White House.
There are quite a number of extremely troubling links between Sarah Palin and neopentecostal dominionists -- enough that, in truth, she may be ultimately as much of a 'dream candidate' for the dominionist movement as Mike Huckabee was. Even worse, she's running in a manner that has been frighteningly successful for dominionist groups since the early 80's -- specifically, as a 'stealth candidate.'
It’s a dubious honor, sort of like being the thinnest person in Houston, but last night Mike Huckabee was dubbed ‘Washington’s Funniest Celebrity.’ Huckabee, who incidentally was looking a little huskier than when he was last spotted on the campaign trail, killed with quips like ‘Mitt [Romney] had more positions than an under-aged Chinese gymnast.’
I think we are polarized right now, and I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen. I endorsed Mike Huckabee (in the caucuses), but I think in retrospect John McCain would be the best person to unite this country.
