Well, the last time was when I felt like I messed with Chris Todd a little too much with regard to Graham Harrell that first year (Harrell started) ... I should have just kept Graham in. There were several series I played with Chris Todd. Not to take anything away from Chris Todd, and part of it is you ...

Some of that's (because of) a remedial shoe ... I don't know how much of that is pain and how much is a Forrest Gump shoe we gave him just for fun.
You've got to give Oklahoma State credit ... They're a good team and played real well. Here at their place, they're a handful.
Every time I'm in Norman, I can see my old house from the highway ... I would have stayed there forever. I had Barry Switzer giving me football lessons at Othello's. It was a great experience.
We needed a quarterback, and we went out and got Josh Heupel
Like I said, it starts with the coaching staff ... But in the back of our minds as coaches and in the back of our minds as players, well, ha-ha-ha, he-he-he, we pounded Kansas State. Kansas State pounded A&M. So therefore, we're really going to pound Texas A&M.

We talked about not listening to our fat, little girlfriends. We said we're not going to compare (Kansas State) scores ... Well, ha, ha, ha. Hee, hee, hee. I'd like to have a dollar for every time somebody said how many points we're going to score. It's all a bunch of crap. We got what we deserved. ... ...
I thought whichever team our defense played for was going to win the game ... We have black shirts here at Texas Tech, too. Every one of our guys is wearing a black shirt underneath their pads there. I'm proud to say the blackshirts won this one.
They're a lot like Nebraska in that they just have an incredible tradition and incredible program ... They're (a program) people have heard about, before Bear Bryant and will for years after. It's an honor for us and for our team to have the opportunity to play a team that has such a storied tradition, ...

I just think we have to do the best we can ... We had a similar situation with Kansas State. They played real well defensively, too, and we didn’t spend a lot of time worrying about that. We just need to focus on us and see what we can do.
The Big 12 is a tough road conference ... Anytime you get stadiums loud enough, that impede communication as much as the Big 12 stadiums, that's one of the biggies.

We're not nearly as concerned about him as the Nebraska Cornhuskers overall ... Overall, he's a key player but part of a really good team. The whole Nebraska team is a big concern.

There are some unknowns on that, just because I don't think Kansas State has been tested ... That is one thing that is a little bit tricky with this group, is that nobody has really tried to throw it on them a whole lot.
I just think it's journalism at its lowest level ... If you're so uncreative that you can't devise a story or come up with something newsworthy outside of an injury ...'OK, here's their injuries.' He's got some Forrest Gump quality to him in what he does there; there's no question ... He runs a couple of extra yards. We coach second effort, and we aren't going to do anything to discourage him. He will score and make sure to cover as much of the end zone and a little bit extra.
