This wouldn't be the same, but since Manning is such a big name and since he wouldn't be a long-term solution, people are inclined to say things like, "No, not again. Same old Redskins. Blah, blah, blah." I think people should trust what Mike Shanahan...

And maybe a tight end will be blocking you one play, a fullback or Tiger-man will be blocking you on an...

View Photo »That’s part of trying to figure out who your football team is, especially when you have some missing pieces
Normally if you win games, you’re controlling the ball in the fourth quarter, and you’re running the football
Hopefully, we’ll have a lot of games like this in the future, where you’re moving the football
That’s one of the reasons why I believe in the running game through the years
Hopefully he’ll be able to play this weekend
We’ll get a better feel for where he’s at
Some people play without a PCL
I’ll be honest with you: I’ve never had that happen to me
Our team is pretty disciplined
Rex was able to look off the safety, and Anthony made a heck of a catch ... That was a big-time catch and throw.
The other one, Jabar was faking across the middle and he came back out and the guy just grabbed it. … But [Grossman] made some great throws and great reads. Some times you’re going to have interceptions. All of a sudden you’re really disappointed with your reads, but other times, you say, ‘I would’ve ma...
A lot of people look at it as a gunslinger mentality
When the chips were down, guys stepped up and made plays
Anytime you fight back like we did, you feel good about your football team
I think he got beat up a couple times. He was in and out of there. I don’t know exactly how he felt. [Trainer] Larry [Hess] said he finished OK. But there were some setbacks a couple times where he came out of the game
He hasn’t been full-speed ... He’s giving us everything he’s got. He’s got the hamstring, and he has the knee [injuries]. He’s been beat up. You can see. He won’t tell you, but you can see in practice and in games, he’s not full-speed. But you want to have him there in case someone goes down, you can st...
We’ll find out more in the next couple days
When that ball went up in the air, you could see he was going to come down with it
You’ve got to keep your poise
I will have to look again, but it just looks like we got beat ... When I looked at it, I kept seeing that No. 79 [Bryant] on the scoreboard, and I thought, ‘How many can you block in a game?’ I’ve never been through anything like that. But we fought through it.
At the start of the second half, the only thing I was unhappy with Rex was that Santana was wide open on a play ... He has got to make that throw every time. You have to make that throw; it’s your read.
I don’t want to put too much pressure on him too early ... He’s not ready for that, but he is gaining experience. I like what I see.
We're trying to get our rhythm back. After our first four games we had a rhythm going and we were playing pretty consistent in the top 10 and all the sudden your lineup changes a little bit and we haven't been consistent since then
We made the decision a while back ... I haven’t spent much time on the East Coast, except for Florida. In college, you didn’t travel like you do in the National Football League. So I asked the people here what they generally do. They thought it was best to leave on Friday.
