View Photo »When Brian Burke came in and started saying all this stuff publically, it was a no-brainer
From my take at this point, I don’t see any reason to put a new contract offer on the table here . . . I think it just might be time for a change of scenery for Nik Antropov
Ask anybody in the league, when Pittsburgh comes in they are the defending Stanley Cup champions ... You want to play a really good game. It’s going to be a good test for our team.
It was a really good honor (to be named alternate captain) ... I'm glad to be involved in the youth movement in Atlanta. And I think the guys coming into this year are more used to (coach) John Anderson's style. The additions of Nik Antropov and Pavel Kubina were great; they came in with a good attitude...
I still wish he had told me face to face, man to man ... But that's not going to give me motivation (Dec. 7). I won't need any more. Just playing in Toronto again will be motivation enough.
Today from noon-2 p.m., new Thrasher Nik Antropov signs autographed French toast at the College Park Waffle House!
As soon as I signed, about 10 days later, he just happened to be in town and showed me around Atlanta
He's been great ... He actually called me a couple of days before I signed with Atlanta and told me about the team, the organization, and what they were trying to accomplish there. In the end, he really helped me make my mind up.
