Norv Turner is one of those coaches that just can’t you over the hump ... I played under this guy, it’s just something about Norv Turner and say, a Bill Walsh. Bill Walsh would really give you that incentive to go out there and play football.
In a perfect world, yeah, you’d like to get closer
Norv Turner is one of those coaches that just can’t you over the hump ... I played under this guy, it’s just something about Norv Turner and say, a Bill Walsh. Bill Walsh would really give you that incentive to go out there and play football.
What we’re trying to do is put our players in a position where they can have success, where they can win, not try to ask them to do things they’re not capable of doing
I'm not oblivious to any of that, but it's not something that's going to be an issue for me and I'm not going to talk a lot about it over the next five weeks
He came out and I don't know why he came out ... We're in the middle of the drive. I assumed when he came out that he came out for a play and then he didn't go back in.
We’re trying to manage a group of guys up front
No one threw in the towel
I’m calling a play based on personnel on the field
We’re going everything we can to find a way to get a win.
I’m like every guy in that room
I just think with Tim, people think they know a lot more about him and what he can and can’t do than they really do ... He’s a young player who’s getting an opportunity to play in this league. He’s getting a chance to grow in this league. I’m sure he’s going to improve a great deal.
When you go into a situation where your team is not very good and every week it seems like you’re overmatched, you’re always playing behind the eight ball
What you’d like to do is be in a position to give guys time
Hopefully (Mathews will) be alright ... If he's not, (Mike) Tolbert and (Curtis) Brinkley will take the load.
if we can stay ahead in the down distance, it helps us a great deal.
With our group now, obviously, in the offensive line
Hopefully Ryan will be alright ... but if he's not, (Mike) Tolbert and (Curtis) Brinkley will take the load.
I saw (Floyd) two hours ago ... He was laying on the trainer's table, getting treatment. I don't know if you'll see a lot of him in the next couple weeks, but he's doing everything he can to get healthy. Right now, he's not been able to do it.
There’s some guys like (outside linebacker Antwan) Barnes and three or four of those guys in the front that are playing way too many snaps. They shouldn’t be playing 60 snaps a game, so when you’re in that situation, sometimes your deficiencies show up more than you would like them to.
There’s a lot of guys that are playing as good as I believe they can play
We have to plan to play with the guys who played Sunday
Antwan Barnes is playing as hard and as well as he can play ... But if he’s playing 60 plays a game, at some point your deficiencies are going to show up.
We are having a tough time eliminating negative plays
