I feel right now -- as I said on the court -- I feel much more complete as a player and as a person as well
Not trying to undermine my performance or my victory today, (but) I can freely say that this was not Novak Djokovic from the U.S. Open or Wimbledon ... Which is in a way normal. He won everything a person can win. He had the best season, if I'm not mistaking, in the history of this sport.
Obviously, I want to get a good start of the year in my first official match of the season
Not trying to undermine my performance or my victory today ... I can freely say that this was not Novak Djokovic from the US Open or Wimbledon. He won everything a person can win. He had the best season, if I’m not mistaking, in the history of this sport. So it’s normal that he had some shoulder issues,...
It was a remarkable experience, like no other ... Tennis is just one of so many sports that is present in the Olympic Games, which is the most prestigious, the most valuable, the most well-known sporting event in the history of sport. That says enough.
When you're 3- , 4-love up, why not try some other things, something that is not characteristic for your game ... But I am definitely working on my net game, approaching the short balls as much as I can, and take my chances.
It's a question mark because there are a lot of different players with a lot of different opinions
It's obvious that there are a lot of players in men's tennis that are, you know, complaining about the schedule and season
I'm satisfied with the overall performance today
It's obvious that there is a lot of players in men's tennis that are complaining about the schedule and season
Pretty incredible these last few years
I had an unbelievable year ... Nothing can ruin that. I will always remember this year as the best of my life.
Obviously, mentally, I feel a little drained
You know, my body says that it's overload
Well, I think you have those days where you don't feel like playing, you don't feel like practising. There are tournaments, especially the ones towards the end of the year, where you don't feel as 100% fresh mentally, physically, emotionally. Obviously, that's why [Nadal] felt that way. I understand him...
What is missing ... is that freshness ... The will to win, just being on the court, giving a hundred percent. I'm not able to do that now because I just have very little left.
But if this is my last match in the Masters Cup, I'll be happy because I think, at least comparing to the match against Ferrer, I played a little bit better.
It’s just that my body says that it’s overload ... It’s been too much this year. Obviously mentally I feel a little bit drained, as well. I just don’t have that freshness in my mind for the matches.
Maybe it’s because of the length of the season. Maybe it’s just because I’m not feeling well on the court
All credit to my opponent, but you know I just wasn't there. It was my worst match of the season, so many unforced errors
All the credit to David, he played a great match but I just wasn't there
It was the worst match I’ve played this season so far definitely
All the credit to opponent, he played great match
