I look at other managers who have moved on and the best analogy might be Incey [Paul Ince], who experienced nothing but good stuff [with Macclesfield Town and Milton Keynes Dons] and then went to Blackburn and entered a bad run
Ince and Boothroyd are the favourites, and you would have to think the club will talk to Paul first. He was a very hot candidate 13 months ago - but there was a feeling at Derby last summer that Ince knew something better was in the pipeline.
I hope he is given time. The pressure was on Roy Keane, then Paul Ince, now Tony. People complain there are no English managers at the top, but they will only succeed if they get time.
The worry is the league table is beginning to stretch out and we need two wins just to get us among the pack at the bottom
After all the signs coming out of Brockhall last week, I was led to believe we would get a top performance
I'm going to defend myself against any charge because on this occasion I have done nothing wrong and I'm determined to clear my name. I still haven't been told exactly why I was sent from the dug-out, but I believe it was for supposedly saying something to the linesman.
