They're playing well. (Carlos) Boozer was the Player of the Month, or Week, or whenever the NBA gives them out ... They're physical games (we play against them).
Kobe Bryant, the most important member of the Lakers and, to a sizable degree, an extension of Phil Jackson.
We're thinking about Utah
Asked about the lackluster play of the bench players near the end of a fairly routine victory Tuesday night over the New York Knicks, Lakers coach Phil Jackson did not sugarcoat what he believed to be another in a string of lackluster showings. 'Right now they're just filling minutes for guys who are ge...
It was a good game for us, a good win ... Anytime you hold Phoenix under 100 points, you know that you did good.
He's a fearless competitor. He has picked up the offense as well as anybody on our team ... and I like the way he's picking up challenges defensively. Brewer averaged 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in the Timberwolves' first three games under Rambis, who has installed a version of former boss Phil Jackson...
We kind of pushed ourselves into the win ... It was a good game for us defensively. Any time you hold Phoenix under 100 points, you know that you did good.
I think that Tex Winter should be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. There's a contributor category. He's not a head coach in the NBA, but he is the guy who put the offense in for Phil Jackson, who owns 10 championship rings. He's the architect of the triangle offense in Chicago and Los Angeles....
I just don’t think as a player, you can get away with that type of thing in the NBA ... Somebody is going to see it. There’s going to be alcohol on your breath. It’s just not going to happen on a day-to-day basis. ... Ron was just talking about the struggles that he’s had in his career.
I'm trying to find my way around that and do what (coach Phil Jackson is asking) ... He wants me to be more aggressive. But I'm just transitioning into that. Coming from Phil, that's definitely a compliment.
We have a lot of people who know Ron and know his history and have been around him ... We're a pretty sharing community here in the NBA, and we have pretty in-depth information on who people are.
When you hire Kurt, you're not getting Phil Jackson ... You're hiring Kurt Rambis and all his experiences. He'll be the coach he wants to be. You won't get a Phil clone.
I just don't believe that at all ... I don't believe a player could get away with that kind of thing in the NBA. Someone's going to see you. There's going to be alcohol on your breath. It's just not going to happen on a day-to-day basis. I know Ron said those things and I have to respect that he's speak...
I get a chance to play with Phil Jackson ... That’s pretty crazy. Amazing. Shocking. Every word that means something like that.
We’ll get really a measure of this team, where we’re at this point in the season, with Miami and Phoenix (on Sunday).
I don't know if this was a daily or game-by-game occurrence or not ... I just don't think a player can get away with that kind of thing in the NBA. Someone's going to see you, there's going to be alcohol on your breath. It's just not going to happen on a day-to-day basis. I know Ron said those things an...
That's a curiosity of basketball and the fragility of the sport at times ... One, they were really in accord as a team. They had Tyson chandler playing at a high level. [Peja] Stojakovic was healthy, so he was a big feature of that team. David West was just coming into his own as a scorer.
We’re playing pretty good basketball, but you really can’t measure it ... I thin kit’s really hard to measure it. I think we’ll get a measure of this team and where we’re at at this point in the season with Miami (on Friday) and Phoenix (on Sunday).
I think Minnesota’s a very good team
Of course, the coach (Jeff Bower) was the former general manager and he did draft Collison and this is, obviously, a good opportunity to get him a good chance ... Starters' minutes are sometimes easier than bench minutes.

The offer was probably the best offer I had ever seen as a coach ... It wasn't enough. It doesn't have what a team has to have, a heartland, a fan base, an energy source. I don't even know if New Jersey has a television station. They get their TV from New York and Philadelphia.
The offer was the best offer I've ever gotten as a coach, but they didn't have what a team needs to succeed; a heartland, a fan base and an energy source ... I don't even know if New Jersey has their own television station, they get most of their feeds from New York and Philadelphia.
I supposed if they lost the Indiana game, it would've put more pressure on them to do that
