There's still months to go, and Scott for sure is always on the 'long list' of players we're thinking about. We have many alternatives as striker. Harry (Kewell) certainly can, but also Josh Kennedy, Archie Thompson, Alex Brosque, Bruce Djite. As far as I know (Mark) Viduka has retired, but Archie still...

We have a difficult group and that would be seen negatively by some teams but the way the Australians are, the better the opponent the better they prepare themselves ... They don’t see any problems in playing big teams. In qualification, Japan away and China away, were games with difficult circumstances...
I’ve heard from my players that they would have preferred to have England in their group and I can understand that because most of them have English backgrounds or play in England, but to have the advantage of playing England will probably be the extra 1% that they need to go to the second round
Let's focus to get there, that's the most important thing at the moment. But it can be a bonus for the players for the last 2 per cent of motivation they can hopefully play England in the next round
Germany is one of the best teams in the world - it's a great opponent for the first game, Ghana is very strong and Serbia beat France. Every game is full of challenges
It's interesting because we have a good record against Ghana, we won four times against them and two times it's a draw so we have never lost against them
I haven't thought about it and I'm not going to think about it also. I'm just going there and enjoy the draw and enjoy my time in Cape Town
I think we need another six points to be absolutely sure, two wins from the last three games. But that's to be completely sure, and it depends, of course, on the result when Kuwait play Indonesia. We had an excellent training camp here in Oman and we are grateful to OFA for providing us with an excellen...

They (Oman) are a strong side and has the ability to surprise us. I never did say that Oman would be defensive when they play us in Melbourne. The media misquoted that. They showed a great team character and I think they can attack us once again

I think we beat Qatar here 3-0 and we drew an away game that was 40 degrees
They beat Saudi Arabia in August so that says enough about the qualities of Oman
I think Oman will come with one striker and will play defensively with nine players ... So they will play in their own penalty box, waiting until they can counter-attack.
Josh didn't play at all in the last month in Germany and is playing every game in Japan and scores every game. It is very good for us and very good for him
He will start and I will see during the game if he can play 90 minutes - or maybe if I have to take him off after 60 or 70 minutes to save him for Wednesday ... But he is ready to play. He's experienced, we missed him against South Korea and we're happy he's back.
We like to win against the Netherlands, we have to win against Oman
For all of us it's a good opportunity to have him for a week in training and to see him, and for him it's a great opportunity to be back in Australia and to meet the rest of the players
Emmo is back ... I was with him at Blackburn Rovers a few weeks ago and he looks very, very fit. He's ready and very eager to start playing games for the first team and for us obviously it's great to have him back. He can play two games in a row - he likes to play two games in a row so there are no worr...
