A Russian warplane dropped a bomb on an apartment block in the Georgian town of Gori on Saturday, killing at least 5 people, a Reuters reporter said. The bomb hit the five-story building in Gori close to Georgia's embattled breakaway province of South Ossetia when Russian warplanes carried out a raid against military targets around the town.

Portsmouth FC can confirm that chief executive Peter Storrie and the manager, Harry Redknapp, have today been asked to help police with their inquiries relating to a matter dating back to 2003. "The club is fully supportive of Peter and Harry. We are co-operating fully with the City of London police in this ongoing inquiry.
