I know it's been talked about but Randy Edsall and the job he's done to keep his team together, is just an incredible job
It's one of those situations where I think our offensive line has done a good job again in terms of running the ball ... And Jordan and Dre have been very productive and we have to be productive in the running game again on Saturday.
Coach [Randy Edsall] told me the play and I ran it in ... There wasn’t really a lot of time on the clock and I knew I had to get it through the wide receivers and the linemen. So we got the play out there and we knew it was fourth down and we had come too far to quit now.
Both Jordan and Andre have been productive ... They’ll have to be again on Saturday.
We would like to thank everybody in UConn, at the college, President [Michael Hogan], we thank the coach [Randy Edsall], Tim [Pendergast]; they've been so nice ... The community has shown so much love for Jazz. This is Jazz's second family. He treated it like that. When he came here, he fell in love wit...
I brought him in and I spoke to him, as you can well imagine, because of the questions that he's going to face from all of you. But what I told him was that he needed to play like he did against Cincinnati ... I thought he showed great poise and very good focus of just going out and playing the game and...
Jordan's always been a tough guy ... I think the biggest thing that's happening with Jordan is he's getting better with his patience. He's being more patient to the line of scrimmage and then bursting past the line of scrimmage ⌠He's really starting to develop more as a running back. He's tough enough...

Tough challenge this week at Nippert Stadium, ABC, prime time ... Getting to go out there and play and understanding that we're going against the No. 4 team in one poll [Associated Press], No. 7 team in another [Coaches], fifth in the BCS standings. I know our guys are looking forward to it.
For us, being a young program to have that happen, maybe it's because we beat them a year ago ... People see that exposure is tremendous. Again, this is another one of those situations where people thought with this program we'd never be on TV, but here we are going against Oklahoma-Nebraska and Arizona...
Yeah. I'm pretty sure ... They (medical staff) told me he basically did the same thing as Sam Bradford from Oklahoma did.
The first guy that really comes to mind is Tim Brown and his ability to make plays and the speed that he has ... He's a big play guy for them.
I think they came out today and honored their teammate Jasper Howard the way they played ... The love and compassion they have for each other is unmatched.
This was something they wanted to do, and I was in lock-step with them ... I think it's a great thing. I think it shows respect to Jazz and to his family and our program, and I think it shows the brotherhood that we have amongst the people in the Big East conference.
The big thing is, we've got to make sure we minimize and don't give up that many big plays ... If we do that, we're OK. That's the thing that scares you about West Virginia, because you can stop them and stop them, but if you make one little mistake here, Devine can take it the distance or Jock Sanders ...
I didn’t have to yell at all ... Every kid has their emotions, but every kid did a great job just being focused on what we’re trying to get accomplished, and that’s going down to West Virginia to win a football game. That’s what I saw in practice.
Kashif came to me and told me on Tuesday, ‘Coach, I’m ready to go,’ ... The other guy was Mike Smith. But you could see the way those guys have practiced. They’re ready to go out and play. There’s nobody from an emotional standpoint that’s not ready to go out and play.
Now it is time to go practice and take these four hours that we have and channel all of our energy into trying to beat West Virginia (5-1, 1-0) which is a tremendous task in itself ... It's a good relief for us in terms of doing what we do.
Kashif came to me and told me on Tuesday, 'Coach, I'm ready to go,' ... The other guy that I was concerned about was Mike Smith. But you could see by the way those guys practiced they're ready to go, they're ready to play. There's nobody from an emotional standpoint who is not ready to play.
This way you can bring people back and keep the name of Jasper Howard alive and going for a long, long time
I know Jasper loved the University of Connecticut and he loved his teammates ... And he loved the opportunity he was getting here at UConn.
