Maybe the young coach has given them a little pep in their step, too ... There were some questions. You looked at Ray Lewis and said, 'Great player. Hall of Famer. But look at the years.' But now you look at them, and they're really showing that they love what they do. You can see that. Sometimes it's simply a different message, or the same message from a different guy. 
We don't have that Ray Lewis-type guy ... Most of us are more reserved, quiet, trying to lead by example and not by word of mouth.
I know I'm capable of a lot more than that ... I know how good I am. That's all that matters to me. I know what I'm capable of doing because I've done it over and over and over again. I've even done it in this league. That same defense we lost to Sunday, I had a pretty good game against last year. I went head up with Ray Lewis and won. It was fourth and 1, and I went head up and won.
I had to call a friend of mine, Mr. Ray Lewis (after that game), and he said, 'I hate to tell you this, but we were playing pass. We were playing pass first.' And I dropped the phone.
Obviously, Ray Lewis is the cream of the crop. When you talk about linebackers - he'll be in the Hall of Fame ... All linebackers, when you watch film, you want to look at Ray Lewis. For me, it's a challenge to go out there and try to have a better game or make sure my defense is the one playing better on that day.
He's my spiritual father when I'm having problems ... Ray has been there for me through everything.
I told him, 'It's time to be focused and time for you to enjoy every moment of why you're here in Cincinnati,' ... You have to understand what you want to get done to finish this season off to exemplify who Chad really is. From there, let the offseason take care of itself.
