The only thing that has to be clarified for Renault is how to market and sell our products. This is not an issue with our partner, Nissan because its retail plan is in place. Renault is working on something and is clear about an exclusive identity in the form of showrooms, advertising campaigns and so o...

It's a new team, facing this project from scratch, something different to my experience in Renault, where it was a structure with a lot of years of experience in Formula One ... But I have been impressed by the commitment and professionalism with which they are facing this project.

View Photo »As per the verbal agreement between both the companies, the design, engineering, sourcing and manufacturing of the proposed car will be handled by Bajaj Auto, while its branding, marketing and selling will be done by the Renault-Nissan
While Bajaj will be responsible for design, engineering, sourcing and manufacturing of the small car, its marketing and selling will be done by Renault-Nissan alliance
Active work to clear AvtoVAZ debt and maintain AvtoVAZ (as a going concern) -- including social concerns -- should be linked to a consideration of Renault's potential as an investor
We would like it to be the entry price point for Renault and also the industry. We are practically sure that the cost of the car will be lower than any car made in India.
Saturation of cars in India is not a fact ... My main concern is not demand but whether we have enough capacity and products to service this market. Beginning March next year, there will be a full line up of products from Renault Nissan.
The design, the engineering, the manufacturing, resourcing of the product will be made by Bajaj with the support of Renault-Nissan alliance. When it comes to marketing and selling the product, this will be done by Renault-Nissan under a brand which will be selected by Renault-Nissan

We assume that our active work to clear AvtoVAZ's debt and support its personnel, including by social support measures, should be reviewed together with the potential opportunities of Renault-Nissan as investor
If there's a proposal from Renault, we're ready to seriously consider it
Our partnership will continue and we will have a clear definition of who does what. We have no illusion. Our strategy in India is not short-term, but long-term. Renault-Nissan has a 10 per cent share (of the car market) globally. We cannot accept a situation in India where we are just about 1 per cent. ...
Renault is in India for good and will have a full range of products in the country ... We were always certain that we were not entering the country to sell only one product but to help in development of the domestic market here.
Even the festive season was unable to turn the fortunes of Mahindra-Renault Logan, which plunged 71 per cent year-on-year in September. Indications that all is not going well in the partnership was evident from Renault CEO Ghosn’s comments at the Tokyo Motor Show. Earlier plans to bring other Logan deri...
Renault is not it in India to sell one specific product. We will have many more products for India, a market we consider to be very important.
We have a common approach between the two companies (Renault and Nissan) where platforms are going to be shared, engines are going to be shared although designs are going to be different even though the markets are going to be completely different
Renault will have much more products for India. There will be a full line up of products of Renault for India and we have not come to India to sell one specific car. It's coming to India to contribute to the development of the Indian market and will come up with a complete line up

We want to localise all production in India and for that we need to have certain volumes. That’s why our (Renault’s) platforms and engines are going to be shared by Nissan
True the Logan is not doing well. But we are also talking to Mahindras to find some solutions. I am convinced not only about the potential of the Indian market but about India as an exporter and most important as a participant in the engineering and product planning effort of Renault-Nissan
This new initiative reaffirms our confidence in the vehicles we manufacture and bring to the region. All our cars are tested locally, use technology from the Renault-Nissan Alliance and offer the highest safety standards.
We welcome the vision and commitment made today by the French government, the CEA and the FSI to invest with the Renault Nissan Alliance in the future of clean transportation
Renault would stay in the FIA championship if the sport was known for positive news and if it was a good avenue for marketing and promotion – but Formula One has become notorious for conflict, crisis and court cases, and big companies cannot afford that
If you analyze it Renault is right, they are a serious international corporation and not loonies as Max Mosley, former FIA president, has called them. They are just very disillusioned with the governance of Formula One

You will have to be patient ... We will announce our strategy in terms of Renault’s role in Formula One before the year’s end.
We don't want to disrupt the team by making public statements, but I can guarantee that before the end of the year we will announce our intentions regarding the participation of Renault in Formula One.
